Electronics Engineer II, Battery and Power Distribution Design

Join Our Team as an Circuit Design Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state‑of‑the‑art avionics product in a world class Integrated Product Development environment.

Location:

This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton or Englewood CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full‑time.

• Develop battery and power distribution designs for the Test Missile Kit (TMK) avionics subsystem.
• Perform/review electrical Worst Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis.
• Work on a cross‑functional team in the development and integration of world class avionics systems.
• Resolve test anomalies and troubleshooting, and generate review and presentation of Product Certification, and support system level testing.

• Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
• Experience in different phases of aerospace hardware development cycle.
• Experience interacting with peers, management and government customers.
• Experience in presentations and in written communication skills.
• 1+ years professional experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.

• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience or coursework in battery systems or power distribution designs.
• Ability and desire to obtain a Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship.

• Electrical power supply experience.
• Battery design experience.
• Demonstrated communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and to build consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members.
• Experience with Missile flight electronic components and/or power distribution subsystems.
• Experience with a combination of design, test, operations and systems engineering disciplines.
• Experience in schematic capture using Zuken or similar tools.
• Experience with PSPICE, Saber or other electronics simulation tool experience.
• Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Existing Secret clearance.

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $79,700 - $140,530. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
