We are seeking a skilled machinist/programmer for Swiss CNC lathes due to recent NEW Swiss equipment purchases.
The focus of this job requires a high degree of specialized expertise and skill in maintaining established standards of quality/accuracy.

CNC Swiss Setup Machinist will perform set-ups, and operate Swiss CNC lathes, to produce parts within required tolerances and specifications meeting customer and quality requirements.

Basic Responsibilities:

Perform all set-ups and operates Swiss CNC lathes proficiently and with very minimal supervision, while meeting productivity goals
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to drawing and process control standards
Select and set cutting tools and/or tool holders as required and effectively troubleshoot machine tool/tooling problems, taking corrective actions as appropriate.
Use precision instruments and measuring devices including but not limited to all hand-held gauges, optical comparator and CMM to inspect workpieces in progress.
Create set-up sheets and follow set-up sheets, process instructions, work instructions, and other instructions to insure a reliable and repeatable process for production.

Position Requirements
High School,   1 to 2 Years work experience

High school Diploma or GED
**1 years Minimum Experience setting up and troubleshooting Swiss CNC lathes or mills
Use of basic gauges (micrometers, calipers)

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience creating and editing CNC programs using G&M code or CAM software
Required Language Skills:
  • English - Very good
