Pro Tem Faculty, Management; Lundquist College of Business - Pool

Position Summary

The Department of Management maintains a pool of candidates interested in filling pro tempore positions as needs arise. Pro Tem positions are limited-duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. Pro tempore faculty work under the supervision of the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research and/or the requisite department head.

The Department is seeking talented faculty who are passionate about teaching and learning to teach Management and general Business courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Courses are scheduled to be conducted on campus and in the classroom.

Candidates should be strongly committed to quality undergraduate and graduate instruction, service to students, and contributing positively to our diverse community, and to working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Instructor:

• Master’s degree. In exceptional circumstances, a BA/BS degree and evidence of substantial professional experience may substitute for an advanced degree.

Lecturer (for those teaching primarily graduate-level courses):

• Terminal degree in relevant field.

Professor of Practice:

• Substantial basis of experience equal to a tenured professor (normally a minimum of 12 years).
• National/international reputation for excellence reflected in a record of significant accomplishments.
• Profile of accumulated professional accomplishments.
• Rich and extensive background in the field.
