Job Description
The EVS Worker at Evanston Hospital cleans and maintains assigned area(s) to meet customer, client, and patient satisfaction. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.
Job Details- Job Type: Full‑Time & Part‑Time Available
- Shift: 1st and 2nd Shift Available (rotating weekends and holidays)
- Location:
Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL - Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour, plus shift and weekend pay if applicable.
- Adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment, including compliance with OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations.
- Perform cleaning and sanitizing of patient/resident rooms, including vacuuming, high and low dusting, bed making and stripping, and removal of general and hazardous waste. Clean restrooms following proper infection control procedures.
- Accurately maintain and clean housekeeping equipment.
- Clean assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements.
- Follow procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transport it to designated areas.
- Report maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, patients, and co‑workers.
- Secure the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required.
- Ensure security of company assets.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.
- Previous custodial experience preferred.
- Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions.
This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. It may also require uniforms and/or use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
