Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Operations Analyst Manager - J&I Skill Captain (Level L) to support the Skill and Workforce Management teams onsite in Everett or Renton, Washington. Travel within the Puget Sound is a requirement.

This role will work closely with BCA Manufacturing Leadership to understand workforce requirements and production system integration. This position will lead the J&I Skill Team and have prime responsibility for staffing integration for AP programs. This position partners closely with internal and external cross functional teammates to understand and interpret data to make BCA level business decisions, work to standardize best practices and define standards within the organization.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provides oversight for Puget Sound IAM Manufacturing Skills, ensuring contractual compliance and in support of Boeing business needs
  • Utilizes standard staffing and finance data, systems, processes and tools to develop metrics, forecasting, identify risks and opportunities to align with company and organizational targets, familiarization with Adaptive Planning a plus
  • Establishes partnerships and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports
  • Develops workgroup, project or operational goals, objectives and related metrics to ensure alignment with Company vision/strategy;
    Measures progress, making adjustments as needed;
    Holds direct reports accountable for achieving goals;
    Achieves goals for productivity, quality and customer satisfaction
  • Identifies opportunities to improve work-related products and processes within own workgroup, project or process;
    Engages and empowers employees to make process improvements
  • Provides technical direction and guidance to others regarding approved processes, tools, technology and skills for own projects or processes;
    Ensures workgroup products or processes meet customer, company, quality, industry and regulatory requirements;
    Provides approval of workgroup technical approaches, products and processes
  • Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities;
    Provides on-going developmental feedback;
    Recognizes contributions of individuals and teams to improve employee satisfaction and retain a skilled and motivated workforce
  • Implements policies, procedures and documents to ensure consistent execution of processes within workgroup in support of Boeing and regulatory requirements;
    Enforces company rules and policies regarding ethical behavior, safety, security, use of company property, time charging, etc.
  • Systematically evaluates proper job classification of employees, sets employee goals and objectives, manages and evaluates performance to plan on a reoccurring basis;
    Assigns employee salaries based on employee value and Boeing guidelines to provide a fair and equitable work environment
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
  • 5+ years of experience in senior level communication including presentation development and report outs
  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data and developing metrics to track performance to plan for a business/organization
  • 5+ years of experience conducting data, trend and/or forecasting analysis
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience working cross-functionally in a leadership role
  • 3+ years of experience in collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • 3+ years of experience working with labor unions
  • 3+ years of experience with workforce planning, staffing, recruitment, and people management
