Position Summary
Electrical Shop Lead is responsible for following process and procedures for product assembly and for the overall performance and training of the Assembly area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain a qualified and adequate workforce.
- Maintain the appropriate equipment and fixtures to support NAT's manufacturing programs.
- Ensure quality of all parts and meet completion schedule.
- Identify schedule conflicts and other part issues and develop effective solutions.
- Participate in make‑buy decisions.
- Verify accuracy of a Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Create and close Job Orders properly.
- Create work assignments for individuals.
- Assemble/install components into furniture.
- Assemble components such as connectors, wire bundles and wire kits.
- Keep the work area clean and safe.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Production supervisor.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Preferably 5 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- FAA A&P certificate desirable but not required.
- ERP experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate orally with others (subordinates, management, vendors).
- Problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multi‑task effectively, and work under pressure.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic mathematical calculation ability.
- Understanding of customer expectations.
- Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
