PrimaryJob Responsibilities
- Consistently provide prompt and courteous customer service; may be required to assist customers at the gas pump.
- Accurately ring up all sales on the POS system, complying with all cash handling procedures, including other payment types for products sold.
- Manage all cash and other forms of tender, including eCoupons.
- Comply with company policies and store procedures, including safety and environmental policies.
- Receive, stock, and organize merchandise.
- Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels and conduct shift audits.
- Participate in all safety programs and trainings; attend mandatory job‑related meetings as needed.
- Perform cleaning duties necessary to maintain site cleanliness inside and out, upkeep equipment, and report equipment problems as needed.
- Act as a positive team‑player; work cohesively with other employees and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Perform all duties with minimal supervision; may be required to work flexible hours, attend job‑related meetings, and other duties as assigned.
- Obtain and maintain all required food and age‑restricted product certifications within two weeks of employment.

- Stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
- See with 20/40 vision (corrective lenses acceptable) to read numbers on store inventory, items purchased, gas pumps in operation, and detect problems with gas pumps.
- Communicate information accurately so others understand.
- Follow safety procedures (e.g., respond to safety alarms, contact 911 for emergencies).
- Frequently reach overhead, grip, move wrists, and use finger dexterity to restock inventory, package items sold, operate POS system, accept payments, issue change, operate gas pumps, wipe pumps, maintain store grounds, and perform general housekeeping.
- Frequently squat and kneel to obtain and/or replenish items.
- Push/pull with arms up to 20 pounds (e.g., using a hand‑truck).
- Lift up to 20 pounds from floor to waist, overhead, and carry a short distance.
- Occasionally lift in excess of 50 pounds under stated conditions.
- Climb a step ladder to stock or retrieve materials and/or place or remove signs.
Note:
There may be exposure to gas fumes and solvents, and occasional noise.
To meet the basic qualifications for this role you must be at least 21 years of age and have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship.
Additional qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in retail sales and cash handling preferred.
- Perform basic math accurately.
- Ability to communicate in English (orally and in writing) and use proficient telephone skills.
- Ability to work various shifts as scheduled, and arrive on time.
- Ability to work with equipment, tools, and materials as required.
- Ability to perform essential duties and work in the conditions described.
