Job Overview
The Small Business Banking Representative will provide comprehensive financial solutions to small businesses with annual revenues up to $20 million, actively managing and deepening relationships with high‑value and opportunity clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end‑to‑end client journey to deliver on client needs and drive sales opportunities while mitigating risk.
- Identify and refer specialized small business opportunities and solutions to clients while conducting relationship reviews.
- Deliver a branded customer experience within aligned sales portfolios, being in the field a minimum of 80% of the time.
- Foster relationships with key partners such as Merchant, Practice Solutions, Treasury, and Business Banking to increase small business opportunities.
- Leverage credit knowledge to advise small business owners on solutions, services, and digital capabilities that meet short and long‑term business goals.
- Support execution of the sales delivery model to achieve targeted performance and growth of the small business segment.
- Coach, develop, guide, and deliver feedback to associates and clients while embodying a client‑centric culture.
- Proven consultative sales success in financial services or business‑to‑business sales.
- Ability to improve specific business financial outcomes by interpreting financial statements and recommending levers.
- Passion for outside sales and prospecting.
- Desire to enhance existing relationships and exceed sales goals.
- Analytical skills: ability to assess financial conditions of clients and industry trends.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Experience managing a client portfolio focused on relationship development and deepening.
- In‑depth knowledge of small business financial products and services.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and banking systems.
- Community leadership.
- Advanced computer skills and multitasking ability.
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or economics, or seven years of relevant work experience.
- Client Experience, Branding, Client Management, Client Solutions Advisory, Customer & Client Focus.
- Pipeline Management, Credit Documentation, Financial Analysis.
- Oral & Written Communications, Coaching, Interpretation of Relevant Laws, Rules, and Regulations.
- Prospecting, Risk Management.
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
Shift & HoursShift: 1st shift (United States of America). Hours per week: 40.
Compensation & IncentivesPay range: $75,000 – $110,000 annualized salary, based on experience, education, and skill set. Eligible for a formulaic incentive plan.
