Summary/Objective
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of assigned reconciliations. This includes the maintenance of account balances, general ledger, and all reports.
DescriptionAssists with monthly close processes, including revenue, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll, prepaids, fixed assets, and treasury. Supports monthly consolidation to provide accurate financial reporting to senior management. Completes monthly account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies. Collaborates with external auditors to provide support for annual 401k and financial reporting audits. Identifies and implements process improvements to streamline accounting functions. Performs ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
Serves as a backup for other members of the accounting team.
- Assist with monthly close processes including revenue, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll, prepaids, fixed assets, and treasury.
- Assist with monthly consolidation process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management team.
- Complete monthly account reconciliations, including researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Work collaboratively with external auditors to provide appropriate support and explanations for annual 401k and financial reporting audits.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting functions and increase the productivity of the corporate accounting team.
- Perform ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
- Serve as back‑up for other members of the accounting team.
- Strong experience and high proficiency in information technology and financial applications.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel.
- Highly developed general accounting skills in corporate‑level accounting and reporting activities.
- Outstanding financial systems skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills; able to handle multiple projects with deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
This role does not have supervisory responsibility.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a standard office environment.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full‑time position, with an 8‑hour shift Monday through Friday. No weekends are required.

RequirementsEducation and Experience: 4 year bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
Minimum 3 Years Of Accounting
Experience:
Experience with banking cash management systems, including processing electronic payments (ACH and Wires).
SAGE Intacct ERP Experience Preferred But Not
Required:
Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required.
Active or actively pursuing CPA preferred.
