Altamira is searching for an R&D Engineer/Scientist in the Dayton, Ohio area:

Job Responsibilities:

* Provide engineering and scientific support on our prime contract to produce and deliver results related to the PIR mission area.

* Performance and trending of analysis tool enhancements, visual presentations, recommendations on systems integration and system wide improvements

* Testing and analyzing system performance parameters and pursuing solutions to identified issues

* Recognizing and analyzing anomalous activity and providing resolution and mitigation support

* Experience with AI/ML methodologies that can lead to process improvement / and or increase efficiency of production

* Perform in-depth processing and exploitation of data

* Support the resolution of highly complex, technical problems and provide advice and recommendations

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or other related technical field

* Proficient with engineering codes to include MATLAB, Python, and/or IDL.

* Must be a U.S. Citizen.

* Active TS/SCI Clearance

* Prefer 3-5 years of engineering/scientific application experience

* Demonstrated knowledge of remote sensing principals and applications
