Our client is a workforce solutions company based out of Manassas, VA. The Information Technology Intern (IT Intern) will support software/hardware, troubleshooting, helpdesk functions, and system support to ensure the organization remains technologically current and fully supported.

This is an onsite contract position in Fairfax, VA, paying $20–$21 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Provide software and hardware support, troubleshooting, and helpdesk assistance for end users.
  • Support, troubleshoot, and replace systems across the portfolio.
  • Assist with the management of Microsoft 365 cloud environment, including Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Create, update, and terminate user accounts in Active Directory and supporting applications.
  • Support end users with daily troubleshooting of PCs, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Configure devices for secure operation, including software updates and security installations.
  • Use ticketing system (Service Now) to manage user requests.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets.
  • Provide training documentation and end user training as needed.
  • Assist with configuration and improvement of IT systems across portfolios.
  • Travel to remote properties in Northern Virginia to provide onsite support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and current network technologies.
  • Some experience with Active Directory.
  • Support experience with workstations, software, and peripherals.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. this seems to be incomplete; we should keep the list items as originally.
  • Ability to assist with network, server, and VOIP telephony.
  • Willingness to be onsite at all times to provide support.
  • Willingness to travel to remote properties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, and proactive.
