Job Description
At North Bay Health the Registered Nurse on the Perioperative Unit will provide safe, effective, and quality nursing care to patients following Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and North Bay’s professional nursing practice model. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all patients assigned to you. You will use a therapeutic professional relationship with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health.

Schedule:
Education- Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) level or higher is required (excludes grandfathered employees).
- Valid, current, and unencumbered RN license by the State of California.
- Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS and ACLS required.
- TCAR preferred.
- CNOR preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years required (5 years preferred) in an acute care setting operating room.
- Competent in providing skilled registered nursing care to surgery/OR patients.
- Skilled in arrhythmia interpretation.
- Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
- Modifies and delivers care specific to the special needs/behaviors of patients ranging from infant through geriatric within the scope of the perioperative department.
- Stand‑by with 30‑minute call‑back required.
