Public Health Nurse (PHN) promotes community health maintenance through health assessment, education and counseling in the detection, prevention and control of disease. The PHN works with individuals and families within an assigned geographic area in Solano County.

• Conduct public health nurse home visits for mothers and babies.
• Provide medical care in clinics.
• Administer health assessments, education, and counseling.
• Carry out specialty clinics and community health education activities.
• Engage with diverse populations, addressing issues of poverty, race, equity, and inclusivity.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• One year of public health and clinical nursing experience.
• Valid registered nurse license issued by the California State Board of Registered Nursing.
• Certification in Public Health Nursing.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Valid Class C California driver’s license (or ability to obtain).
