Data Analyst
Overview
Payments Specialist is responsible for supporting First State Community Bank’s payments strategy by researching payment products and vendors, analyzing trends, assisting with demos and implementations, and preparing recommendations that strengthen payment services for both customers and internal teams. This role partners across the organization to evaluate and enhance payment capabilities.
Responsibilities- Payments Research and Analysis:
Professionalism Initiative Accountability - Evaluate current and emerging payment solutions to support informed decision making. - Research payment products vendors and industry trends.
- Analyze costs risks operations customer impact and regulatory considerations.
- Prepare clear summaries and reports to guide leadership decisions.
- Product Support and Implementation Assistance:
Adaptability Professionalism Service - Support development and enhancement of payment products and services. - Assist with demos evaluations planning and testing.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure operational readiness.
- Support rollout documentation and change management.
- Payments Reporting and Data Management:
Accountability Professionalism Initiative - Maintain accurate reporting and data that support the Bank’s payment strategy. - Assist with data analysis and trend interpretation.
- Communicate data clearly and maintain organized documentation.
- Use data to support evaluation of customer impact and service performance.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Support:
Service Professionalism Resilience - Work collaboratively with bankers operations and support teams. - Communicate findings and support payment initiatives across the Bank.
- Promote awareness and understanding of payment changes and enhancements.
- Demonstrate professionalism confidentiality and strong service in all interactions.
- Bachelor degree preferred in Business Finance Information Systems or related field
- Knowledge of payment systems banking services or interest in financial services
- Strong analytical research and data management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strong organization and initiative
- High professionalism and discretion with sensitive information
