Buyer Support (Finance)

The Buyer Support role assists the Buyer with day-to-day purchasing, vendor coordination, and inventory support for Wasson's garden center and landscape operations. This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who enjoys supporting buying decisions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring products flow smoothly from order to floor.

• Assist the Buyer with placing, tracking, and updating purchase orders.
• Communicate with vendors regarding product availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Support purchasing for live goods, hard goods, and seasonal products.
• Track incoming shipments and follow up on backorders or discrepancies.
• Assist with receiving by verifying quantities, condition, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and vendor records.
• Support product setup, tagging, and organization as needed.
• Assist with seasonal buying cycles, transitions, and inventory planning.
• Communicate inventory needs, trends, and issues to Buyer and retail team.
• Utilize company systems and spreadsheets to support purchasing activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
