Tenure Track Assistant Professor / Teaching Assistant Professor / Assistant Professor of the Practice Responsibilities

• Teaching and learning duties: course instruction, laboratory instruction, curriculum development, student projects, and professional development to enhance student learning.
• Research and scholarship: establish a research program aligned with the teacher–scholar model; involve students in research projects; publish in peer‑reviewed journals; present at conferences.
• Service and citizenship: provide service activities within the department, university, profession, and community.

• Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field (ABD candidates with completion by appointment will be considered).
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Excellence in research and other scholarly activity.
• Experience teaching mechatronics, dynamic systems, vibrations, and controls.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in dynamic systems and mechatronics.
• Ability to complement at least one of the university’s strengths such as advanced mobility, autonomous systems, new energy, or crash safety.
• Proficiency with modern engineering tools for teaching and research.
• Ability to develop an externally funded applied‑research program.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Willingness and desire to contribute through department, university, community, and professional service.
• Evidence of research or industrial applications of mechatronics and dynamic systems.
