Join Our Team As an Intern
Assist the Parks Recreation and Natural Resources Department in creating quality video, photo and social media content. This is a temporary position with 15 hours a week for 12 weeks a year, typically scheduled during normal office hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) with some evening or weekend hours during special events.
Essential Job Functions- Help us show off our parks, recreation centers and natural resources area on social media with creative reels/video content.
- Take photos for our website.
- Assist our communications team with various marketing projects.
- Capture video content — film engaging footage across various locations in the county.
- Shoot and categorize photos for organized content libraries.
- Edit video content for social media reels.
- Write and create social media content that aligns with brand voice.
- Travel locally to capture on-site content.
- Collaborate with the team on creative concepts and production needs.
Skills and Abilities
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva.
- Photo editing using Lightroom and Photoshop.
- Understanding of social media trends, especially short‑form video.
Physical
Skills:
Ability to lift or move approximately 20 pounds, sit for long periods and accurately type or proofread eight or more hours daily. Must communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication.
Education, Training and
Experience:
Recent graduate or currently enrolled in a college or university program, major in Mass Communications, Videography, Public Relations, Marketing or related field. Video editing experience using Edits, Adobe Premiere Pro, Cap Cut, or similar tools.
Possession of a valid Driver's License.
