News Producer – Miami, FL

The Local News Department at Televisa Univision is looking for a News Producer to join our team! We are looking for a dynamic, creative producer who will own the shows assigned to them from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have vision, solid news judgment, ability to multitask and manage their time, and be proficient in all aspects of social media.

• Produce newscasts and other news related shows for a multiplatform distribution.
• Craft newscast including stacking, writing, editing copy, in‑studio moves, and ordering graphics.
• Coordinate live shots with directors, production staff, and reporters.
• Lead the process from the control room during live broadcasts, remotes, continuous coverage and breaking news situations.
• Responsible for product content and style.
• Develop original story ideas for news shows.
• Use social media tools daily to enhance and promote products and talent.
• Research potential show topics and book guests for show.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years minimum experience in producing news in a medium to large TV market.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, with a strong command of grammar and vocabulary.
• Experience in producing talk shows, interviews/panel shows, and news magazines is a plus.
• Experience engaging with a digital audience, storytelling, and being social media/digital savvy.
• Ample knowledge of television production, news gathering equipment and computer systems.
• Ample knowledge of current events, with emphasis on local and regional movers and shakers.
• High motivation and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage breaking news situations, meet strict deadlines, and respond quickly to changes.
• Ability to work efficiently with limited supervision.
• Flexibility to various shifts, including holidays, weekends and evenings.
