Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse

PRN RN Operating Room Circulator

Advanced Surgery Center of Sarasota, a busy multispecialty ambulatory surgery center affiliated with United Surgical Partners International, is looking for a registered nurse to serve as a circulating RN on a per-diem basis. The role involves performing nursing care and services during surgical cases across orthopedics, spine, pain management, and podiatry specialties.

• Provide nursing care and service during surgery cases.
• Position the patient, prep the patient, and circulate the case.
• Assist with equipment, supplies, and maintaining the sterile field.
• Communicate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and successful case outcomes.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Active RN license in the state of Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification as required by the center.
• Minimum of one year of experience working as a circulator in an operating room setting.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Critical thinking and excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures specific to the operating room.
• Clinical proficiency in OR nursing skills, including understanding the developmental needs across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.
• Experience with orthopedics, spine, pain management, and podiatry procedures.
