** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting of unusual activity.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

+ Monitor access points and visitor activity, support staff with security-related requests, and document incidents, observations, and/or policy violations in a timely manner.

+ Assist with handling medical facility protocols such as restricted area monitoring, after-hours access activity, and coordination with site contacts during urgent events.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

+ Required hospital vaccines must be completed or provided as applicable.

+ Ability to work in and around a hospital morgue is required.

+ Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.

+ Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.

+ Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.

+ At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
