Under the direction of the designated Nurse Manager, the Staff Nurse is responsible for professional, direct patient care in the nurse role. The Staff Nurse will utilize the nursing process within their scope of practice to assess, develop nursing diagnosis, develop plan of care, implement plan of care, monitor for effectiveness, and adjust appropriately, for patient’s plan of care. The Staff Nurse is responsible for care, in areas assigned, within the Surgery Center, as needed.

Starting pay is between $60 and $62 per hour.

• Obtains and documents patient’s medical history and performs physical assessment.
• Uses proper techniques and procedures according to accepted standards of practice and center policies and procedures.
• Applies dressings and assesses status.
• Safely uses medical equipment per manufacturer’s instructions for use.
• Inserts, assesses, or discontinues various catheters and tubes.
• Effectively organizes and avoids wasteful practices of time, equipment, and supplies.
• Attends all required education.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese preferred).
• RN or LVN with an active license in the appropriate state, with no restrictions.
• One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• CPR, BLS, and ACLS certification required.
• Strong ethical and moral character references.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
