Job Title: Senior Windows Server & VMware Administrator
Location: Atlanta, GA ~ Forest Park, GA
Rate: $48 /hr on C2C
Competencies: Windows Servers
Experience (Years): 6-8
Responsibilities- Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016 build and administration
- Administer and ensure optimal operation and configuration of all systems including physical and virtual Windows Servers, Storage, Backup, Disaster Recovery Replication, Monitoring.
- Provide operational support of Microsoft technologies including AD, DHCP, DNS/WINS, Group Policy and ADSI.
- Responsible for patch management, application software delivery and release management.
- Responsible for daily operations of Windows based servers running in a mixed physical and virtual (VMware ESX) environment.
- Work with security architects to manage vulnerability within the environment.
- Provide third level support and mentoring to the IT Service Desk team and senior level support to the IT Operations team.
- In-depth knowledge and experience on VMware ESX and ESXi (6.5, 6.7, 7.0) hypervisors installation and administration as well as VRealize Orchestrator.
- In-depth troubleshooting skills in VCenter, ESXi hosts, Networking and storage (SAN, ISCSI, VSAN).
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server OS and troubleshooting.
- Drive RCA preparation and meeting SLA for RCA submission along with planning and implementing fixes/patches.
- Performance and capacity management on VMware servers and complex health check-ups.
- Perform in 24x7 environments in shift roster and attend calls whenever assigned.
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes.
