COST CONTROLLER
The resource will be responsible for ensuring the economic and financial control of assigned projects, adequately supporting the Project Management Team and the Project Cost Controller Area in operational decisions aimed at optimizing project timelines and costs.
Responsibilities
Define, in collaboration with all relevant project stakeholders, the cost plan and billing plan for assigned projects, in line with the latest work schedule, ensuring compliance with procedures related to project economic-financial planning.
Support operational decisions aimed at optimizing project timelines and costs by providing accurate cost analyses, defining the basis for claims towards clients, and proposing suggestions to improve project profitability.
Prepare reports on project progress (PSR, monthly dashboards), highlighting key variances from the project’s execution budget and cash‑in, ensuring that this information is always available in a timely manner to the Project Management Team and Corporate.
Monitor invoicing processes and accounts receivable, ensuring proper transaction recording and timely collection of payments.
Plan and closely monitor actual and forecast project cash flow, anticipating potential collection issues.
Ensure that standard project costs (labor, materials, etc.) are always updated and that costs are regularly recorded (warehouse consumption, subcontracting expenses, etc.), maintaining accurate, transparent, and up‑to‑date accounting.
Regularly inform the Project Cost Controller Area about project status, critical issues, and opportunities arising during periodic planning and reporting updates, providing a clear and comprehensive view of the project’s financial situation.
In coordination with the Project Manager and the Group Risk Manager, organize brainstorming meetings to identify risks and opportunities, updating the risk register, related mitigation plans, and the valuation of project contingencies.
Collaborate with various company departments to ensure alignment between project cost control activities and the company’s strategic objectives.
Requirements
Degree in Economics or Management Engineering
Previous experience in a similar role in the foundations sector is preferred
Skills in economic‑financial planning
Knowledge of SAP ERP
Knowledge of CPM cost accounting software is considered a plus
Excellent knowledge of Excel
English language proficiency (B2)
Strong interpersonal skills
