Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale has been a respected leader in healthcare since its founding in 1938. Additional services include cancer care, kidney and lung transplant, orthopaedics, palliative care, robotics, sickle cell, surgical weight loss, a Level I trauma center and an on-site fitness center.Pool position will work as needed. (5) 12 hr shifts per 4wk schedule. Varied nights 7days 7:30pm-7:30am. Two weekend shifts per schedule. Completion of a nursing program from an accredited school of Nursing. Current State of Florida Registered Nurse license required. Current BLS and ACLS cards required. Experience in a Hospital Acute Care setting within the past 3 years strongly preferred.. At least 2 years Hospital experience in Critical Care. Must be willing to float to all Critical Care and Stepdown units. Good communication skills. Independent worker, good teamplayer, critical thinker, good customer service. We have a tiered level of telemetry units ranging from remote telemetry to progressive cardiac care. Telemetry experience including the interpretation of rhythm strips and the titration of vasoactive drugs is required. The professional registered nurse is accountable to plan, coordinate, provide, intervene and evaluate the care of assigned patients based upon the treatment plan, nursing standards, nurse practice act and individual patient needs.
