Join the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as an Advisor in Safety Management, ensuring robust safety practices and compliance across municipal projects. This role emphasizes proactive safety measures.

The Advisor in Safety will serve as a critical asset within the Municipality’s Human Resources & Safety department. With a focus on safety operations and contractor management, you’ll facilitate compliance with health and safety legislation and procedures. You'll play an key role in mentoring staff and developing safety programs to enhance workplace safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

Support safety-related risk assessment and management
Develop comprehensive safety training programs
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
Foster team-oriented relationships for enhanced safety practices
Provide guidance to frontline staff and municipal contractors

Requirements

Five years of experience as a safety advisor
Education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
Robust skills in process safety management
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Valid Class Five Operator’s License required
