Rate of Pay: $116,688/year to $135,000/year

• Test electrical control systems of vehicles.
• Develop functional requirements and apply standard engineering principles.
• Create simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and assess system operation.
• Test and integrate components into the final product.
• Monitor product quality and control process efficiency.
• Evaluate designs for effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
• Investigate root causes of failures and recommend improvements.
• Test controls system design, specification, programming, simulation, and assist with start‑up.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering to design controls for refuse collection vehicles.
• Comply with applicable government safety and environmental standards for motor vehicles or heavy‑duty trucks.
• Apply analytical and problem‑solving skills in design, programming, troubleshooting, and manage multiple projects.
• Interact with management, clients, and vendors; act as a technical mentor to less experienced engineers.
• Provide up to 10% domestic and international travel to support customer vehicles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and five years progressive post‑baccalaureate experience; or Master’s degree and three years experience in this occupation.
• Demonstrable experience with testing and final validation of vehicle electronic controls, controller software, and ECU programming.
• Hands‑on experience with software code for vehicle controllers and automated test equipment.
• Experience with an automated test software (CAPL, EXAM, D‑Space) or similar proprietary HiL environments.
• Experience with CAN networks and one CAN tool (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, Kvaser, PEAK).
• Demonstrable experience with Advanced PLC programming, MATLAB Simulink, or Model Based Development.
• Experience testing to the standards of Functional Safety, Diagnostics, and On‑Board Diagnostics (OBD).
• Domestic and international travel up to 10%.
