Position Overview
The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Product Support Engineering team is seeking an Associate Technical Data Designer to support our F/A-18 program in Fort Walton Beach, FL.
This role identifies, researches, develops and revises technical publications, documentation, and related data. Analyzes customer requirements to understand scope and required elements. Reviews technical support publications for technical accuracy, grammatical errors, format and style per guidelines.
Position Responsibilities- Analyzes complex engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance/repair requirements, procedures and instructions
- Collect, research and evaluate source data to develop avionics technical publications according to specifications
- Develop multiple publication elements for all levels of maintenance for fielded equipment minor systems or subsystems
- Collaborate with program management, engineering and other avionics authors to accomplish tasks
- Participate in virtual working group meetings
- Some travel may be required
- May be asked to support other programs or perform other duties as needed
- 3+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance
- 3+ years general working level knowledge of tactical aircraft hydro-mechanical subsystems and components, including at least one of the following areas of focus: flight controls, landing gear, ejection seats, fuel, hydraulics, power plant (engines & APU's), environmental controls
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering documents and drawings
- Associate's degree or higher, or 5 years of related work experience
- 3+ years of experience with aircraft Hydro-Mechanical/Structures maintenance.
- Escape System/Canopy Windshield/ECS experience
- F/A-18 platform experience

Summary pay range: $73,100 - $98,900
