System Administrator

Role Summary

Lockheed Martin is looking for a System Administrator to support the Air Force Special Operations (AFSOC) Air Commando Training Support (ACTS) contract. The role is part of an Information Technology team on a recurring multi‑year program.

• Installation of servers and clients, configuring operating systems, services, applications, storage, virtualization, and custom software supporting test, training, and cybersecurity evaluations of DoD systems.
• Perform server updates, patch management, and software installations.
• Support system administration, server architecture, networking, and virtualization.
• Manage domain services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, domain trust, and file shares.
• Implement security hardening per ACM directives such as RMF and STIGs.
• Utilize virtualization technologies including VMware ESXi vSphere/Horizon and Microsoft Hyper‑Visor.
• Maintain compliance with security clearance requirements.

• Experience automating, installing, configuring, administering, patching, and security hardening COTS and open‑source applications, including operating systems.
• Solid understanding of server administration and architecture, specifications, software, networking, virtualization.
• Experience with domain architecture (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, trust, file share).
• Experience with Windows Server 2008‑2019 and Linux/Solaris/RHEL/CentOS.
• Knowledge of Advanced Computer Security Directives and Requirements (e.g., RMF, STIGs).
• Working knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, VSphere, Horizon, Microsoft Hyper‑Visor).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

• System administration experience in DoD environments, including requirements analysis, design, hardware evaluation, configuration, and test of custom software and configurations.
• Certifications:
  
  CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, Linux, Oracle, and VMware.
• Scripting skills (Python, Linux shell, Java, Power Shell, C++/Perl).
