Are you a passionate and experienced social work professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a dedicated Team Lead to join our dynamic Lochaber Social Work Team, based in the heart of Fort William.
As Team Lead, you will provide leadership and operational oversight to a committed team delivering high-quality adult social care services across Lochaber. You’ll play a key role in service development, staff supervision, and ensuring best practice in line with statutory responsibilities and local priorities.
Qualifications and Experience- The post holder must hold a relevant Social Work qualification at degree level or equivalent and be registered with the SSSC as a Social Worker.
- Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience.
- Hold qualification in post qualifying practice including Adult Protection, Mental Health Officer and Practice Education or equivalent experience; proven leadership, decision‑making, and communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence (essential for travel across the Lochaber area).
- A commitment to person‑centred, strengths‑based practice.
This post will be based at Fort William Health Centre, with requirement to work across the Lochaber region as needed.

Additional Information for Candidates- Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑ratio basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
