HDR is a company where employee‑owners collaborate to build solutions that improve water management worldwide. As a Water Resources Engineer you will help design, model, and implement projects that protect public health and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities
  • Provide project engineering and task management; conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling and stormwater collection systems modeling and design.
  • Prepare design calculations, technical reports, and specifications for detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities, and other hydraulic structures.
  • Lead data collection, assimilation, and presentation in reports, memos, and public forums.
  • Work independently and coordinate medium to large professional teams as required.
  • Develop water‑resources planning documents and assist in permitting efforts.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in water‑resources engineering projects.
  • Experience with HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, and storm‑drain analysis software such as XPSWMM, PCSWMM, or Info Works ICM.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro and CAD platforms such as AutoCAD or Micro Station.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Previous experience in water‑resources engineering projects.
  • Professional engineering license recognized by the relevant licensing board.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to participating actively in the employee‑owned culture.
