Overview Of Position

The Project Manager is responsible for successfully managing multiple cross functional projects in the areas of Software Development, Infrastructure, and business transformations. The person needs to be able to independently manage, influence, and lead teams with minimal guidance/oversight andwill proactively look for opportunities to help teams improve and ensure that teams are routinely successful in meeting their commitments. The person should be seasoned in software development Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Scrumban and Kanban and possess skills to guide others in implementing / following defined business processes.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

  • Project manage large, complex, and multi-functional software and infrastructure projects
  • Coach and support scrum masters and team members in use of agile software development best practices
  • Communicate project status to all stakeholders reporting on jeopardies, concerns and items for discussion during weekly project status update meeting
  • Partner with the General Manager and Product Owner to understand and support GM and PO objectives
  • Capture performance data and produce and analyze sprint metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Facilitate software release process, ensuring all key process steps are executed
  • Plan and facilitate certain R&D agile meetings, including sprint pre-planning, demo

  • What are the requirements needed for this position?

  • BA/BS degree or higher from an accredited college/university or 4+ years of relevant work experience in lieu
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

  • Experience and proficiency in using project management tools (i.e. Jira, Smartsheet)
  • Certified SCRUM Practitioner
  • Pharmaceutical/Retail Pharmacy experience
  • Experience with SharePoint, MS Office 365 products and MS Project
  • Experience managing software development teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with offshore and on-shore teams
  • Experience developing product/team/process performance metrics
