$35.00 - $37.00 per hour Position Summary
AGC Heat Transfer is seeking a Lead CNC Machinist with 3+ years of machine shop experience to support the implementation of new equipment, lead and mentor operators, and ensure high-quality production of precision parts.
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical expertise with coaching and team development.

- Set up and operate Haas CNC Mills and Lathes
- Troubleshoot machine alarms and resolve issues
- Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T
- Adjust machine offsets and parameters to maintain tight tolerances
- Train and mentor CNC operators on setup, production, and quality standards
- Collaborate with programmers to validate setup sheets and CNC programs
- Develop and improve work instructions for machine setup and operation
- Perform first-article and in-process inspections
- Conduct basic machine maintenance
- Read and interpret G-Code
- Support additional production tasks as needed
- High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience
- Strong leadership mindset with a passion for teaching and mentoring
- Solid math skills (feeds/speeds, geometry, trigonometry)
- Ability to read complex drawings and apply tolerances/GD&T
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Strong communication skills and reliable attendance
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to operate material-handling equipment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 lbs
- Strong visual acuity for detailed inspections
- Steady hand-eye coordination for precision measurement
- Ability to sit periodically for data entry and inspections
- $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
