Position:  Badging Operations Leader (General Clerk III)

General Description:
Security administration services shall include staffing and operation of the Badge Room, Processing Centers, the mail screening facility, and assistance with the destruction of mutilated currency.

Specific Tasks:
• Provide services to maintain uninterrupted service within the Badge Room, Processing Center, and destruction efforts as specified in the Hours of Operation.
• Badge Room Operations. Badge Room tasks include but are not limited to:
a) Operating and staffing.  Staff and operate the Badge Room during hours of operation and at any time overtime hours are needed.  
b) Processing Access Request Forms.
c) Processing HSPD-12 (Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12) Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Badge forms: Receiving, reviewing and processing PIV badge forms and associated documentation. Completing the issuer's portion of the PIV badge form after ID verification (registrar) has been accomplished.
d) Processing ID Card Forms.
e) Producing Badges/IDs.
f) Issuing Badges/ID.
g) Updating and Maintaining Records, Database, Logs.
h) Issuing Parking Permits.
i) Providing Various Reports such as a weekly badge report accounting for all badges issued and every blank badge not issued during the week's activity.
j) Badge and Parking Permit Accountability.
• Processing Center Operations.  Processing Center (PC) tasks include but are not limited to:
a) Operating and Staffing: During Hours of Operation and at any time overtime hours are required.
b) Receiving Visitors.
c) Controlling Visitor Access.
d) Issuing Temporary Identification Badges to those individuals authorized and approved to receive them.
• Administrative Support Tasks- Administrative support tasks include but are not limited to:
a) Generating Reports on badge usage, parking permits, PIV, security/suitability clearances and other such reports as requested.
b) Performing general duties such as typing forms and documents, completing any other written communications and reports, signing for mail, picking up and distributing mail, filing documents and reports, scheduling appointments, and answering phones.
c) Performing mail screening and destruction detail by providing assistance in the screening of mail and the destruction of unfit currency notes/sheets and currency printing plates in accordance with established procedures.
Position Requirements
Bachelor,   1 to 2 Years work experience
Qualifications:
• Shall have intermediate level computer skills that include an aptitude to learn GSA’s USAccess Program, Identiv’s Velocity Program, EasyLobby Visitor Management system and other similar programs to support operations.  
• Shall have sufficient administrative and customer service skill to interact with customers, issue PIV cards (and visitor badges), add and remove access, run reports, and assist with clerical efforts in the badge room and processing center.
• Must readily available to obtain requisite security clearances and commence work.

Physical Ability:  
• Shall be able to perform mail screening and destruction duties which entails lifting items of a weight not to exceed 50 pounds to a height of four feet so they may be loaded into a bin or placed in a screening machine.

Experience:
• Previous experience and a strong computer user aptitude is desired.
