Position: Client Relationship Consultant 2 (Banker) - Fox Lake

Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture relationships with customers through in‑person, appointment, and virtual channels.
  • Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs, obtain and process customer and account information.
  • Demonstrate and educate clients on deposit and loan products and recommend solutions based on each customer’s unique goals.
  • Proactively reach out and follow up with clients, asking questions to learn about their financial needs and banking channel preferences.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products, including digital offerings.
  • Provide consistent optimal client experience: greet clients and process basic transactions.
  • Collaborate with branch team members to best serve clients.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests and submit credit applications.
  • Educate clients on emerging and self‑service digital products to help meet their financial needs.
  • Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience with operational excellence and accuracy.
  • Adhere to National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration requirements under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including criminal and credit checks.
  • Work from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically a minimum of 3–4 years of job‑related retail banking experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Proven ability to build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow‑up.
  • Effective engagement and communication with clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies.
  • Ability to explore and identify clients’ true needs using a digital‑first mindset.
  • Basic proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer needs both reactively and proactively.
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.

Additional Compensation

Pay Range: $21.68 - 26.50 per hour. The actual range may differ based on the location of the role.
