Emergency Department – Registered Nurse

Location: Framingham, MA

Position Type: Full-Time (FT)

Shift Availability: Days/Nights

Compensation: $37 - $70/hr (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a committed and skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join the largest community healthcare system between Worcester and Boston. This 307-bed regional hospital, recognized on the 2019 America’s 100 Best Hospitals List by Health grades, is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality care to the community. The ED RN will deliver direct clinical patient care, ensuring the highest standards of safety and effectiveness, and support the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in maintaining clinical excellence and resource management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Practice: Deliver patient care according to established standards, encompassing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Manage daily tasks including IV therapy and EKG monitoring.
  • Leadership: Delegate tasks to staff to maintain efficient workflow. Participate in hiring and evaluations, resolve conflicts, ensure proper staffing levels, and maintain quality nursing practices through involvement in committees and meetings. Serve as a charge nurse when needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and precise documentation according to legal and hospital guidelines. Accurately transcribe and input physician orders using the nurse order entry system.
  • Communication: Foster effective collaboration and communication with the healthcare team, patients, and families. Act as a patient advocate and ensure timely follow-up on patient care needs.
  • Education and Mentorship: Stay current with clinical skills and technology. Provide patient and family education, mentor new staff, and contribute to the professional development of the unit.
  • Qualifications
    • Licensure & Certification:
      • Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts.
      • BLS certification required.
    • Experience: Experience in an Emergency Department/ER setting preferred.
    • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
    • New Graduates: Welcomed with training provided for required skill set.
    Additional Requirements
    • Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
