Position: Nurse Manager (RN or LPN)

Salary for this Position: $40.00 - $47.00

All Pay Rates are subject to Experience, License or Certification and Location

The Nurse Manager works collaboratively supporting team-based and evidence-based care. Using effective and appropriate communication strategies, the Nurse Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the nursing and medical assistant staff. They are responsible for projects to improve operational efficiency. In collaboration with the Training and Development Team, the Nurse Manager ensures the clinical competencies of the nursing and medical assistant staff, fostering high quality patient care and facilitating positive patient outcomes.

Time is evenly divided between managing day-to-day operations and practice- and organization-based initiatives.

Essential Functions
  • Directly supervises nurses and medical assistants, including hiring, coaching, scheduling, and performance management
  • Coordinates staff schedules, coverage, vacation requests, and daily assignments
  • Leads operational improvement projects for nursing and medical assistant workflows
  • Supports staff training, orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing education in collaboration with the Training & Development Team
  • Oversees clinical operations including medication management, referrals, nursing visits, patient flow, and provider support
  • Manages vaccine inventory, clinical supply ordering, and stock maintenance
  • Ensures compliance with quality, regulatory, and organizational standards

    Participates in quality improvement initiatives and uses operational data to improve performance
  • Assists with onboarding and mentoring new clinical staff
Requirements
  • Massachusetts Nursing License
  • At least 2 Years of Nursing Experience
  • CPR certification
