Position: Tech Specialist (Electrical Maintenance focus)
Key Responsibilities

* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct problems on production equipment, building systems, and utility infrastructure.

* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on a wide range of production equipment including electrical systems and components.

* Submit change requests for equipment or process modifications, with supporting documentation showing improvements in reliability, quality, or performance.

* Maintain accurate documentation, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, repair logs, and spare parts records.

* Develop and manage a spare parts inventory for components critical to plant operations.

* Work closely with the technical team including maintenance and engineering staff to enhance technical knowledge and problem-solving capabilities.

* Investigate recurring or chronic issues, implement root cause solutions, and contribute to preventive maintenance strategies.

* Participate in the evaluation, installation, and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades.

* Coordinate and supervise outside contractors performing service or maintenance on building utilities, fire suppression systems, HVAC, and related infrastructure.

Qualifications

* Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.

* 4 to 6 years of hands-on maintenance experience required; 6 to 8 years preferred.

* Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve issues in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

* Experience managing contractor work related to facility utilities and life safety systems.

* Strong organizational skills for documentation, spare parts tracking, and reporting.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

* Familiarity with building and fire codes applicable to industrial environments.

* Strong knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety practices.

* Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and numeric control systems.

* Understanding of key facility utilities including fire suppression systems, compressed air, HVAC, and power distribution.
