Overview

$11.00 to $14.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. The position is part-time, with benefits and opportunities described below.

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and much more. The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commissions based on productivity. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Works with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training and performs other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or to retrieve products stored externally.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, be team-oriented, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations; cash handling experience is preferred.
• Able to work at multiple locations as needed and on a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

• Commission Plan:
  Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance. Details provided during interview.
