• Costpoint Billing Analyst (Accounting II)
• L  seeks a detail‑oriented Costpoint Billing Analyst to support billing operations for government contracts, including Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) and cost‑reimbursable programs.
• This role is ideal for an early‑career accounting or finance professional looking to deepen their expertise in government contracting and financial analysis.
• This position will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will work under general supervision at our Advanced Technology Research Facility in Frederick, Maryland.

• Prepare and review complex invoices in compliance with customer and contractual requirements.
• Analyze unbilled receivables and resolve billing discrepancies using Costpoint reports.
• Research and respond to internal and external billing inquiries.
• Collaborate with project teams, contracts, and accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely billing.
• Support collections efforts and help resolve outstanding issues.

• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger analysis.
• Prepare journal entries and financial reports.
• Evaluate and enter contract modifications and assess their accounting impact.
• Perform administrative responsibilities as necessary.
• Contribute to special projects and process improvements.

• Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
• Minimum of two (2) years of accounting‑related experience.
• Strong data entry and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

• U.S. Government Contract experience, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Preferred: a minimum of two (2) years of general accounting with responsibility for general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, cost accounting, or accounts receivable.
• Previous experience with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
• Prior experience with Deltek Costpoint.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, research and resolution skills, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate‑level Excel skills.
• Current Public Trust clearance.

Pay range: 59,600.00 – 87,633.00 USD.
