Clearance RequirementApplicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information. Applicant must have an Active Top‑Secret/SCI with the ability to obtain PSD Clearance required.
Responsibilities- Incorporate and lead M.C. Dean's Quality Management System on the assigned project, ensuring control of documents, records, and non‑conforming installation.
- Initiate, follow‑up, and close corrective and preventive actions.
- Document and implement the Quality Plan tailored to project specifications and contractual requirements.
- Partner with the project team to understand the complete scope of work.
- Establish and lead a 3‑Phase Quality Control Process covering preparatory, initial, and follow‑up inspections.
- Collect inspection data and prepare weekly inspection data logs (Field Data Collection Report).
- Initiate and manage discrepancy notices, corrective action reports, and CAPAs.
- Identify and provide solutions to project‑specific issues based on knowledge and experience.
- Manage punch list identification and closeout process.
- Lead quality initiatives for the project.
- Review engineering deliverables (drawings, specifications, submittals) and ensure all comments are addressed.
- Coordinate with third‑party peer design and testing agencies and implement recommendations.
- Participate in daily ORM meetings to discuss quality items and issues.
- Develop and submit daily quality control reports.
- Assess project performance under the quality management system and provide guidance to the project team.
- Perform receipt inspections of all procured materials.
- Provide logistical support for internal audits.
- Execute contract document review for compliance (RFPs, specs, drawings, submittals).
- Review design documents for constructability and contract compliance.
- Create detailed project‑specific installation checklists for field workers.
- Conduct detailed inspections of all work performed.
- Collect and analyze data for continuous improvement and share findings weekly.
- Participate in daily safety meetings to discuss quality concerns.
- Attend all required project meetings to resolve quality issues with Owner/QC.
- Manage and resolve all quality or commissioning punch lists.
- Interface directly with Owner/End user to ensure requirements are understood and communicated.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
- 10+ years of experience as a Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager on similar‑size construction projects.
- At least 2 years as a QC Manager.
- Familiarity with EM 385‑1‑1 and USACE/NAVFAC 3‑Phase Quality Control System.
- Ability to work on sensitive projects involving critical systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and resolution skills.
- Effective communication at all construction levels.
- Attention to detail and ability to read, interpret, and review construction drawings and documents.
- Experience working in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.
- Background check clearance.
- Experience on military bases or government contracts is a plus.
