Repository Technician

This position is responsible for the receipt, inventory, storage, and shipping of clinical agents or biological specimens to various clinical sites and laboratories. These materials are stored at temperatures ranging from ambient to
-196°C with potentially hazardous properties. The role requires the use of database applications and standard precautionary procedures to work independently, communicate effectively, and use good judgment when making decisions. Interaction with internal or external clients occurs under the guidance of experienced professional or technical staff. The position may involve travel to Rockville or Germantown, MD sites up to 25%. Responsibilities

+ Provide shipping, receiving, storage, and order fulfillment services for clinical sites and laboratories.

+ Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment following established procedures and customer requirements.

+ Maintain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate products within the requested time frame.

+ Assist in receiving biological specimens, chemical compounds, clinical agents, and investigational products.

+ Verify the quality, type, and quantity of materials received are accurate with appropriate documentation present.

+ Weigh dry chemical compounds and aliquot liquid biological samples or products.

+ Perform general documentation management tasks, including generating, reviewing, archiving, or destroying documents.

+ Work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures ranging from ambient to
-196°C.

+ Ensure compliance with cGMP parts 210 and 211 and company quality systems.

+ Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), facility safety guidelines, and FDA requirements, including cGMP CFR parts 210 and 211 where applicable.

Essential Skills

+

Experience with repository operations, cold chain, dry ice, and
-80 freezers.

+ Basic digital literacy to navigate inventory systems, Microsoft Office, and shipping software.

+ Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.

+ Ability to recognize deviations from accepted practice.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.

+ Prefer experience with data entry, shipping/receiving.

+ Knowledge of Universal Precautions, general laboratory, and quality assurance/control preferred.

+ Good social and customer service skills required.

Work Environment

The work environment includes cold environments ranging from ambient to
-196°C with exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, and hazardous and infectious agents. The role involves performing highly repetitive tasks and requires walking, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50lbs continuously. There may be occasional sitting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Flexibility to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed is required.

This is a Contract position based out of Frederick, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
