Biosafety Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update biosafety policies and risk assessments

• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks like PHAC and CFIA

• Mentor the Junior Biosafety Officer and provide guidance

• Support hands-on laboratory research and method development

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s in chemistry or related field

• At least 5 years in biosafety or research operations

• Expertise in biocontainment level 2 practices

• Strong communication and team collaboration skills

• Bilingualism considered an asset
