Job Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer II at Honeywell, you will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support production operations, implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
You will report directly to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager and work out of our Freeport, IL location on an on‑site schedule.
In this role, you will impact overall manufacturing operations by driving continuous improvement initiatives, supporting production teams with technical expertise, and contributing to the achievement of operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting and resolving production issues to minimize downtime and ensure quality standards.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including design, quality, and maintenance to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process improvement methodologies, and quality standards.
- Proficiency with manufacturing tools and software such as CAD, MRP systems, and data analysis tools to support process design and optimization.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on operational excellence.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety compliance in manufacturing settings.
