Position Overview

Netwrix is on a mission to help customers protect and secure their identity and data landscape through market-leading on-prem and SaaS products and integrated solutions. Netwrix Identity products provide leading identity security solutions to thousands of enterprise customers worldwide.

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one or more scrum teams responsible for developing and delivering identity protection products on Netwrix’s enterprise cybersecurity product platform. This role sits within the R&D organization and reports to a Director of Engineering.

As Engineering Manager, you will own the full delivery lifecycle for your team(s) — from planning through release — while contributing to technical direction and cross‑functional alignment across the broader identity and cybersecurity products and product platform.

This is a hands‑on position. You will be contributing product code as well as leading planning, execution, and delivery of high‑quality product. You will be expected to actively remove blockers, set clear expectations, drive execution, and manage engineers on your team.

Responsibilities

People Management

  • Manage, lead, and develop a team of software engineers, including regular 1:1s, performance feedback, reviews, mentoring, and career planning.
  • Hire and onboard engineering talent; foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support engineers’ growth at all levels.

Delivery & Execution

  • Own sprint planning, backlog grooming, agile ceremonies, and delivery commitments for your team(s).
  • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices including design and code review, CI/CD, test, documentation, observability, supportability, release, deployment, and cost control.
  • Identify, track, and resolve execution risks proactively; elevate when appropriate.

Technical Leadership

  • Contribute to architectural decisions, ensure product security, and enable product and platform integration.
  • Drive quality through QA automation, integration testing, and reliable release processes.
  • Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, and Netwrix product teams on shared features, data, and integrations.

Cross‑functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Management and UX to align on roadmap, priorities, and requirements.
  • Partner with customers and customer‑facing teams to triage and address customer issues, understand customer needs, and obtain feedback on product features and functionality.
  • Represent engineering in planning, roadmap, and business alignment meetings.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently across engineering, product, customer success, and leadership.
  • Manage technical debt and advocate for investment in long‑term engineering quality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on enterprise software, and progression into management.
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver software products on schedule in an Agile environment.
  • Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices: CI/CD, microservices, APIs, automated testing, and code review.
