About Our Client

Michael Page has been retained by a market leader in Birmingham who are in search of a skilled Superintendent interested in working locally across the Central Alabama area.

This company, a General Contractor and Construction Manager, has over 20 years of local experience and is widely considered to be among the top handful with regards to benefits and internal culture across the field. They utilize both Subcontractors and In-house labor on a wide range of Commercial projects including schools, stadiums, airport additions, multifamily and mixed-use complexes, and other opportunities locally.

Their work is strictly within a 90-mile radius of Birmingham.

Job Description

• Manage day-to-day on-site construction activities from mobilization through close-out
• Lead subcontractors and self-perform crews to ensure productivity, quality, and safety
• Coordinate schedules, inspections, material deliveries, and manpower planning
• Enforce jobsite safety standards and company procedures at all times
• Maintain clear communication with project managers, clients, and inspectors
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope for $10-20M commercial builds
• Represent the company professionally on active jobsites throughout the OKC metro area

The Successful Applicant

• 5+ years of experience in Construction
• 3+ years of Commercial Construction experience as a Superintendent
• Experience in large ($30M+) commercial projects is helpful
• Knowledge of scheduling and cost principles
• Basic knowledge of project management software
• A mature professional with excellent judgment.
• A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and intuitive interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills, adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines, and keen attention to detail
• Desire to work across the Greater Birmingham, AL area long-term
