The Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the University of Florida invites applications for a 12‑month, non‑tenure track, full‑time lecturer position. The anticipated start date is ideally Fall 2026, but no later than Spring 2027.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and teach mechanical and/or aerospace engineering capstone design and realization courses, including industry engagement and laboratory‑intensive courses in the curriculum.
  • For senior candidates, lead management of industry partnerships in the MAE capstone programs.
  • Participate in department, university, and professional service activities and educational research activities.
  • Teach courses with a focus on experiential engineering education, fostering a collaborative, welcoming, inclusive classroom environment, and work closely with other faculty in a team approach to instruction delivery, curriculum, and facility development.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely related discipline.
  • Official transcript upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
  • Prior industrial and/or instructional experience in related fields or hands‑on educational setting.
Compensation

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
