The University Writing Program at the University of Florida invites applications for five Visiting Lecturer positions to begin August 16, 2026. These are full‑time, nine‑month, non‑tenure‑accruing faculty appointments with the possibility of renewal for a maximum of three years. The teaching assignment is 3/3.
The successful candidates will teach writing‑intensive courses, support students in developing effective written, visual, and rhetorical communication, and contribute to the instructional mission of the program.
Required QualificationsPhD in Composition and Rhetoric or a related content area with teaching experience in composition.
Preferred Qualifications- Rhetorical expertise and teaching experience in writing, composition, or communication.
- Relevant professional experience in writing, communication, or a related field.
- Strong interest or experience in professional, community‑based, or discipline‑specific communication.
- Interest or experience with artificial intelligence, digital media, visual communication, or related areas of writing instruction.
