Minimum Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED;
State Electrical Contractor License perferred

Experience:

Three years of verifiable experience

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and the National Electrical Code. Must attend educational classes as needed for the purpose of maintaining technical skills and adherence to regulatory requirements. Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs. continuously. Must be able to climb a ladder with no fear of heights. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stretch for extended periods.

Must be able to work in an outdoor environment during extreme weather.

Primary Function:
Maintain facilities working as a team with fellow employees, not always in your area of specialty. Responsible for new electrical installations. Responsible for electrical repairs of wiring, equipment, and devices. Responsible for lighting.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Receive routine work orders from Maintenance Director and follow instructions regarding assignments.

• Read, interpret and work from diagrams and blueprints.

• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials.

• Maintain inventory needed for installs and repairs.

• Layout and install conduits, junction boxes, switches, breaker panels, and circuit breakers.

• Troubleshoot and repair problems with various electrical wiring, controls, and systems.

• Replace electrical outlets, plugs, and switches.

• Test, maintain, and repair emergency generating and other backup electrical equipment.

• Install, replace, troubleshoot, and repair lighting fixtures

• Participate in an "on-call" program.
