Position Summary

Scheduling will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and analyzing project scheduling activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develops project schedules from bids.
  • Engages project managers and superintendents to develop project schedules, status, and performance.
  • Develops specific item schedules as dictated by project requirements.
  • Builds Package/Systems Schedule, including logic, critical path float, resource loading, weighting, etc.
  • Produces early/late planned progress curves, manpower histograms.
  • Manages changes to the schedules and keeps project managers and superintendents aware of the impact of changes; prepares and attends scheduled meetings as required.
  • Provides weekly updates to respective project managers pertaining to the status of projects.
  • Keeps the schedules updated throughout the life of the project, generating reports, identifying deviations, etc.
  • Performs other duties and services to ensure successful projects are delivered and clients are satisfied.
  • Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.
Required Education & Experience

Two (2+) years of experience in Project Scheduling using MS Project and/or Primavera.

Minimum of six (6) years of experience in project controls.

Minimum of six (6) years of experience in shipbuilding/repair planning.

Know and able to apply scheduling and progress methodologies and methods as contained in the AACE and PMI (PMBok) standard practice.

Experience with various types of projects, such as new construction, modular fabrication, and repair work.

Strong knowledge of Earned Value Measurement in engineering, procurement, fabrication & construction (CPI, SPI, EAC, etc.).

Working Conditions

Periodic exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
