About This Role
The New Grad RN Resident position at Cleveland Clinic Marymount Hospital is designed for recent nursing graduates seeking to provide exceptional care in a supportive environment. This role offers a comprehensive residency program to enhance clinical skills while delivering care to diverse patient populations.
Highlights- Location: Garfield Heights, OH
- Facility: Cleveland Clinic Marymount Hospital
- Department/Unit: 3 South and 4 South nursing units
- Schedule: Full-time, Rotating shifts
- Pay: $33.50 - $53.60/hour
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when needed.
- Document in patients’ medical records.
- Assist in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors.
- Perform typical nursing care including IV access, phlebotomy, medication administration, and wound care.
- Focus on cardiac disorders such as heart failure and arrhythmias.
- Engage in patient education and blood product administration.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- New grad or less than one year of RN work experience required
- Experience moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one year of current acute direct patient care RN experience preferred
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross required
- Professional growth through a one-year, accredited Nurse Residency program
